GUESTBOOK

This week the girls have inundated me with colored leprachauns and shamrocks from school in eager anticipation of St. Patrick's Day. Yesterday, not long after my alarm went off and the first snooze smackage had taken place, I heard my girls awake and excitedly chattering in their room. I got out of bed at my usual 7:30, expecting there to be a horrendous mess in their room, made while occupying themselves in my 9 minute snooze smackage doze time. Instead, I was greeted at my door by my children, already fully dressed appropriately in green. "Happy St. Patrick's Day, Mommy!"

This beautiful morning has given me an idea. If anyone knows any other saints that I could make up a holiday for, please leave their name in my guestbook.

Bits of fire in the sky push me east back home. I used to live in flames but it's hard on the wings. Choke me. Smoke me. Scare me back. You try but you just can't. I peel the layers in my spare time, and you're easy to see through. I can fly, I've discovered on my own. I may be the lesser butterfly but my wings are just as strong. Who are you to tell me to find a place to land? I may be the lesser butterfly but baby watch me glide.
