GUESTBOOK

You'll never guess who was found under the lattice work at our former apartment. That's right, Princess Mia is home now. She's terribly skinny, but the initial skittishness is wearing off. I even got her to play with a toy this morning.

She was very muddled when Trusty first brought her here. She sniffed and slinked around, seeming to think 'Mom and Dad are here, my food dish and potty box are the same, those are my toys, but this is not where we live. Hmmm.' I think her bigest issue has been the new stove, though. She can see her reflection in the oven door and that has caught her attention a few times and she stops to glare at the 'other' cat. If she could speak, I'm quite sure she'd tell me it was time to get rid of that replacement because the real deal had returned.

Bits of fire in the sky push me east back home. I used to live in flames but it's hard on the wings. Choke me. Smoke me. Scare me back. You try but you just can't. I peel the layers in my spare time, and you're easy to see through. I can fly, I've discovered on my own. I may be the lesser butterfly but my wings are just as strong. Who are you to tell me to find a place to land? I may be the lesser butterfly but baby watch me glide.
